If you spend a lot of time at a computer, behind the steering wheel, cooking, washing, basically doing anything with your arms, then this is the stretch for you!
It helps to relieve the tightness in the front of the shoulders (the pec major muscles on the chest) & helps to improve chronic postural issues – like “Upper Crossed Syndrome” & “Forward Head Posture” – which can be major contributors to headaches & neck pain.
I like to hold each of the 3 positions for exactly 30 seconds, so the set will take 90 seconds total. And I repeat it each time I make a cup of tea – while waiting for the kettle to boil.
Try it out – you’re going to love it! Just remember that a good stretch will feel slightly uncomfortable but never painful. If it hurts, you’ve pushed it too far and need to back off a little.
